EMILY’s List Endorses Diana

BOSTON – In a show of momentum and strength, Senator Diana DiZoglio has been endorsed for State Auditor by EMILY’s List, the nation's largest resource for women in politics, citing her fearless fight on behalf of the most vulnerable in Massachusetts.

“EMILY’s List is delighted to endorse Diana DiZoglio for Massachusetts State Auditor,” said Sarah Curmi, vice president of state and local campaigns at EMILY’s List. “A powerful advocate for transparency and accountability, Sen. DiZoglio will continue to fight for Bay Staters and be a champion for the most vulnerable in Massachusetts. Her fearless approach to public service will make her an excellent State Auditor for the Commonwealth.”

In pursuit of progressive change, EMILY’s List endorses Democratic pro-choice women candidates who will make significant contributions to education, health care, voting rights, economic equality and more. They recruit the strongest candidates, support campaigns that can win, study the electorate and turn out the vote.

“The obstacles women face when running for office are steep and persistent, but allyship is critical,” said Sen. DiZoglio. “I am honored and so very grateful to have earned the endorsement of EMILY’s List as they work to elect strong, mission-based women in pursuit of progressive change. Now more than ever, we need determined, statewide female leaders who can push Massachusetts forward. I’ll continue to be the unwavering ally women need as their next State Auditor."

To date, DiZoglio has also been endorsed by dozens of elected officials, community leaders and activists from across Massachusetts, along with the Massachusetts AFL-CIO, Massachusetts Nurses Association, National Association of Government Employees (NAGE), UNITE HERE 26, IBEW Local 223, Boston Carmen’s Union, Iron Workers Local 7, Machinists District 15, the MBTA Inspectors Union, Operating Engineers Local 4, the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts, Teamsters Local 170 and 25, and the Puerto Rican PAC of Lawrence.
